Q. What is a Brazilian/Hollywood bikini wax?
 
Brazilian waxing refers to hair removal around the vagina, anus and perineum leaving only a little at the front. Hollywood waxing is the complete removal of the hair in the pubic region. How you leave your pubic hair is a personal preference. You should do whatever makes you comfortable, whether it's all off, a landing strip or triangular!
 
Q. What do I need to do before coming for a waxing?
 
Make sure your pubic hair is longer than 1 cm. No need to trim them if longer, Yuko will do it if it is necessary. Keep the area clean. It is a good idea to avoid tea, coffee or other caffeine drinks prior to the treatment as caffeine can increase your sensitivity.
 
Q. How long will the results last? 
Most of my clients comes back for next waxing between 4 to 6 weeks after their appointment. This  depends on the individual hair re-growth rate.  In most cases, hair growth is minimal during the first week or two and increases in the fourth and fifth week.  On your first waxing (or first in a long time), you may have a slightly faster re-growth as your body tries hard to feed the nutrient to the hair root canal to compensate a sudden hair removal. This is only the initial reaction and re-growth will settle after that. Hair grows quicker in the Summer than in the Winter as heat stimulates it.  With regular waxing, the interval between treatments would increase. Continued waxing results in sparse hair re-growth.
 
Q. I am worried about pain, will it hurt?
 
It will cause some level of discomfort depending on the toughness of your hair growth and your pain threshold. It gets easier as you go on waxing. But please don't worry, the treatments are carried out in a very relaxed atmosphere and all of  my clients manage to chat and giggle away during their treatments, even ones with very strong hair growth! The anticipation is worse than the actual pain. That is why it is so important to choose an experienced, skilled and  confident waxer who knows her job so you feel safe and relaxed. For an easier waxing experience, you might want to avoid your menstrual or pre-menstrual period as heightened hormone levels increase skin sensitivity. You could also take painkillers which you normally use for headaches or period pain one hour prior to your waxing appointment.
